about

****************************************************************

Our single Destroyers of Worlds now has a beautiful stop-motion videoclip: blip.tv/chicoplus/the-sugarettes-destroyers-of-worlds-hd-official-video-6136522 by Spanish filmmaker Marco Fettolini and Carla Roberti!

****************************************************************

After a lengthy hiatus, during which The Sugarettes were active in diverse projects (Nikoo, The Very Sexuals, Arie-Wubbo soundtrack), the cheerleading stormtroopers of the Eindhoven indie scene are now back with the follow-up of the critically acclaimed debut Love & Other Perversities. On Destroyers of Worlds the band brings us eleven burning declarations of infatuation, passion and sex. These are pretty common topics in the world of The Sugarettes, but since the two vocalists of the band have become each other’s muses, some very compelling, intense ingredients have been added to the concoction.

The Sugarettes are: Mariska Louman, Joep van Son, Marjolein Kooijman & Marnix van den Broek.
Destroyers of Worlds is released by Subroutine Records.

about

'like a load of Girl Scouts going on a soft metal camping holiday. It’s fantastic and basic and does what all great pop does, shakes you to the core with its ridiculously overheated, panting, doe-eyed, hateful simplicity'
